The course covers the areas of study listed on the Course Description and/or Qualification Specification, through clear and detailed explanation of the subject matter. Although the course materials are comprehensive you will also be encouraged and guided to carry out further personal exploration and research where appropriate.

This will broaden your knowledge and enjoyment of the subject, and help you gauge how much you have learned. There are plenty of examples to help you but personal research is a prerequisite at this level, so be prepared to use your initiative to fully answer the assignments.
